Kismet is collaborating with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to create a limited edition hand-crafted beaded piece for the Chicago Goes Pink October Campaign.
 
Susan G. Komen saves lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. They are the only organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts such as research, community health, global outreach and public policy initiatives to make the biggest impact against this disease that impacts one-in-eight women in the US. 
 
These custom, mixed-metal Kismet beaded bracelets highlight the importance of regular mammograms, accurate self-examinations, and community health advocacy. One in every eight handcrafted beads represents the smallest size of a breast cancer tumor found via mammogram. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. Every eighth bead is different in shape but none are spherical - mimicking a real tumor. No two pieces are the same, just like our bodies.
